From Dairy Pasture to Village

Before Palm Springs was a village, it was pasture. A dairy farm operated on the land from the late 1920s through the mid-1950s, when Florida's second land boom was reshaping Palm Beach County. In 1957 the Florida Legislature chartered the Village of Palm Springs, making it Palm Beach County's 30th municipality, and homes went up quickly, around 800 in the first year alone.
